A farmer died after he came in contact with a live electric wire at Hanumanthapura village near Hassan on Saturday.
The deceased has been identified as Range Gowda (58), of Hanumanthapura.
The farmer had climbed a tree to cut leaves for his sheep, when he came in contact with the wire. He had not noticed the wire. The Hassan Rural police have registered a case.
