An orthopaedic surgeon with the Government Hospital in Kollegal was robbed of his valuables, including his gold rings, and cash near the Bogadi-Ring Road junction on Monday night.
The victim, K.N.B. Raju, was driving his car when he noticed three persons lying on the road. Assuming them to be victims of an accident, he got out and offered assistance. He was immediately overpowered and bundled into his car by the men, who then took his valuables.
The doctor was let off near Aditya Circle close to Dattagalli. The miscreants drove away with his car.

Dr. Raju immediately contacted the police.
The car was found a few kilometres away. The Saraswathipuram police have registered a case.
