Dasara panel invites entries for theme song, slogan

With an aim to bring difference to the Dasara festivities this year giving an opportunity for the local residents to directly involve in the celebrations, the Dasara Festival Committee has decided to bring out a theme song for Dasara-2010 and accordingly invited the interested persons to produce the song suiting the grandeur of the festivities.

“Produce the theme song, copy it in a CD or a DVD and send it to us for consideration,” said Deputy Commissioner Harsh Gupta, who is the Dasara Special Officer.

And, the best Dasara theme song would get a prize, he said.

The song would be played suitably in the events organised during the ten-day celebrations.

The theme song can be submitted at the Help Desk Counter at the Deputy Commissioner's Office in person or through the post on or before September 28.

Slogan

The committee has also invited an attractive Dasara slogan from the residents and the best slogan would win an attractive prize too.

The slogan should portray the culture and tradition of the festivities which was celebrated as “Nada Habba” or the State festival, according to Mr. Gupta.

The slogan should be in four words and relate to the feelings of the people here towards the festivities. The slogan would be used in the publicity of the festivities, a press release from Mr. Gupta said.

The slogans could be dropped in person or send them through post at the Help Desk Counter in the Deputy Commissioner's office on or before September 29.
