550 candidates qualify for written test in KGF Army recruitment rally

Army officials explained that 550 candidates were qualified for written test for selection to Indian Army.

As many as 550 candidates have become eligible to move to the next round of written test during the selection process at the mega Army recruitment rally.

The recruitment process was held at BEML Sports Complex in Kolar Gold Fields (KGF) from April 29 to May 5.

Among the 3,500 youths who participated in the preliminary rounds including physical fitness and other tests, 550 aspirants qualified for the written test, Brigadier Victor Rajamani told reporters after the conclusion of the rally on Tuesday. The written test will be held on Sunday (May 10).

Youths aspiring to join Indian Army from Bengaluru Urban and Rura, Kolar, Chickballapur, Mysuru, Mandya, Hasan, Kodagu, Chamarajanagar, Chitradurga districts have participated in the process.

The selection process was held transparently and no complaints of candidates falling prey to the middlemen were reported, Mr. Rajamani said.

Army officials Colonel Jaideep Sharma, Col. Vishwanath, Col. Yogesh and District Employment Officer K. Srinivas were present.
