400 youth enrol as BJP ‘campus ambassadors’

The Bharatiya Janata Party on Sunday launched an initiative called “Campus ambassadors” to reach out to the youth ahead of the Lok Sabha elections.

Under this initiative, “campus ambassadors”, who are young volunteers working on behalf of the party, will campaign for the party as well as its prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi in colleges.

According to the BJP leaders, 400 youth from 45 colleges enrolled themselves as “campus ambassadors” on Sunday.

BJP’s MLA from Surat and national general secretary of the BJP Yuva Morcha Harsh Sanghvi participated in a meeting of “campus ambassadors” here.

MP and party national general secretary Ananth Kumar, who launched the initiative, accused the United Progressive Alliance government at the Centre of letting down the youth by failing to generate adequate employment. He said that Mr. Modi would help create an additional one crore jobs a year, if voted to power.
