39,855 to take SSLC exam in Kalaburagi

As many as 39,855 students from Kalaburagi district will be writing SSLC examinations to be scheduled between March 30 and April 12.

Deputy Director for Public Instructions Shantagouda on Monday said that out of 39,855 students, there are 11 private candidates.

Of the total 131 centres, 107 were partially under the surveillance of CCTV cameras, while 24 centres were fully under CCTV surveillance.

Of the 131 examination centres, Kalaburagi North has 34 centres followed by 25 centres in Kalaburagi South, Aland and Chitapur 17 and 16, respectively, Jewargi 12, nine in Afzalpur and eight in Chincholli taluk. The authorities have identified 10 sensitive and six most sensitive centres in the district.

In Raichur

Raichur Deputy Commissioner Goutam Bagadi, has warned officials on duty that they will be held responsible for any malpractices during the SSLC examinations.

He chaired a preliminary meeting in Raichur on Monday, to discuss the preparations and action to be taken to prevent malpractices.

Mr. Bagadi said that 71 examination centres have been established where 27,464 students will take the exams.

Each centre will have to be provided closed circuit television (CCTV) cameras, he said.

The Deputy Commissioner, who is also the District Magistrate, passed prohibitory orders barring photocopying shops and bookstalls from functioning within 200 m of the examination centres and asked officials to implement it strictly.
