A 15-year-old girl studying in class 10 allegedly committed suicide by setting herself on fire at Doddahalli in Pavagada taluk in the district on Sunday morning.
The police said the deceased has been identified as Archana, daughter of Venkateshappa of Doddahalli.
She allegedly poured kerosene and then set herself on fire around 10.30 a.m. on Sunday.

She was immediately rushed to the Pavagada taluk hospital but she succumbed to the burn injuries.
Case has been registered in Y.N. Hosakote police station.
