A 12-year-old boy studying at Amalapura madrasa was allegedly sodomised by his teacher on April 17 in a lodge in Tumakuru.
The incident came to light after the boy told his mother about the incident on April 19. His mother had gone to the madrasa to meet her two children enrolled there.
The mother took her son to the Superintendent of Police and lodged a complaint. Police said that the suspect, Musharaf, is from Uttar Pradesh. He allegedly took the boy to the railway station around 11 p.m. on the pretext of booking a ticket. In the complaint, the victim claimed that Musharaf took him to a lodge stated that there was no petrol in his two-wheeler. In the lodge, the teacher allegedly had unnatural sex with the boy. Musharaf brought the boy back to the madrasa on April 18. The Tumakuru Rural police have registered a case and are on the look-out for Musharaf.
