“The future is coalition government at both the Centre and State and we can demand and get separate Telangana State if we win all the MLA and MP seats in the region,” said Telangana Rashtra Samiti president K. Chandrashekar Rao.
He was addressing an impressive gathering at the Arts college grounds in Karimnagar on Thursday night to welcome TDP Karimnagar legislator Gangula Kamalakar into the TRS party.
Welcoming Mr. Kamalakar and his supporters mostly from the TDP into the TRS-fold, KCR launched a scathing attack on TDP and YSRC and asked whether these parties would make a Telangana leader as Chief Minister or party president. Similarly, the Congress never allowed a leader from the region to remain Chief Minister of the State for more than four-and-half years, he said and added that the Seemandhra leaders forcibly removed P.V. Narasimha Rao, Marri Channa Reddy and T. Anjaiah as Chief Ministers.

He flayed Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy for betraying the people of the region on the development front and alleged that Andhra leaders have always betrayed the Telangana region on all fronts and the latest being the Bayyaram issue.
Local legislator Gangula Kamalakar said that he secured freedom by joining the TRS and called upon other TDP party leaders to follow suit and not live like cowards. Several of his supporters belonging to TDP joined the TRS along with him on the occasion.
