Fans went berserk as the much-awaited multi-starrer ‘Bahubali’ with Prabhas, Rana, Anushka, Tamanna and Ramya Krishna in the lead, was released at over a dozen theatres and multiplexes in the city on Friday.
The film produced by ace director S.S. Rajamouli was said to be produced at a whopping Rs.250 crore.
A large number of fans of Prabhas gathered outside Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Theatre at 104 Area (Marripalem), which witnessed some trouble on Thursday, hours ahead of the morning show on Friday and hanged around the theatre for the gates to open.

The die-hard fans hired a goods auto and hung posters of the movie and Prabhas, carrying the Sivalinga, all around it and placed loud speakers on the vehicle and played the songs. Traffic on the NAD Kotha Road – Convent Junction BRTS Main Road was blocked for short intervals as the fans burst firecrackers and Diwali rockets celebrating the release of the film.
They put a huge banner of Prabhas in different angles and one with his paternal uncle and veteran actor Krishnam Raju with a huge garland hung around them. Manager of Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Theatre Rammohan Rao said that the theatre has no facility for booking of tickets through Internet and hence the tickets for all classes were being given at the theatre.
Traffic snarls were witnessed outside Leela Mahal, Jyothee and Jagadamba theatres as the crowd spilled onto the main roads.

A special show was screened at Venkateswara Theatre past midnight on Thursday for invited guests. Some fans and others gathered at the theatre and demanded that they be allowed inside and some of them were allowed after sometime.
Meanwhile, some audience, who came tickets of Jyothee Theatre, were sent back by the Theatre management as they found those tickets to be fake ones. The audience claimed that they had purchased outside the theatre at a premium.
