Tribal people, especially youth, slated to join the party

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is set to re-strengthen its base in the tribal belt of Adilabad district what with several important grassroots level leaders and a large number of tribal people, especially youth, slated to join the party on September 8. BJP State president G. Kishan Reddy will welcome the new entrants at a public meeting in Adilabad town.

The new development is a result of a prominent tribal leader, a former Zilla Parishad Territorial Constituency member from Adilabad, Madavi Raju, joining it on August 11. He is currently involved in garnering the presence of about 10,000 adivasis at the BJP president’s meeting.

Mr. Raju told newsmen that about 20 tribal sarpanches and upa sarpanches, and a host of former sarpanches, Mandal Parishad presidents, Mandal Territorial Constituency members and others will join the BJP. He said a large number of youth will also join the party as they are enamoured with the charisma of Gujarat Chief Minister and BJP Election Campaign Committee chairman Narendra Modi. “The tribal youth will take Narendra Modi’s message to interior parts of the district. They will explain why he should be elected as Chief Minister for the third successive time,” he added.
