Chandrababu Naidu releases logo, to invite PM

The logo reflects the river in flow and a devotee offering prayers, depicting the relationship between the river and people, Mr. Parakala Prabhakar said.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu released a logo for Godavari Maha Pushkarams at his residence here on Monday.

Later giving the details to media persons, Communications Advisor Parakala Prabhakar said that the logo designed by Shreshtha Communications was selected out of 198 entries.

The logo reflected the river in flow and a devotee offering prayers, depicting the relationship between the river and people, Mr.Parakala said. The logo also depicts the speed, direction and flow of the river.

The Chief Minister would be personally writing to the President, Prime Minister and Chief Ministers of all States inviting them to come and take a dip in the Godavari River during the auspicious period of Maha Pushkarams that occurs once in 144 years.

He said that while the estimated expenditure for organising the Godavari Pushkarams, commencing on July 14, is estimated at Rs.1,470 crore and the Centre promised to release Rs.100 crore.
