Barack Obama leaves for Saudi Arabia

United States President Barack Obama ended his three-day visit to India on Tuesday and left for Saudi Arabia where he will offer his condolences to the royal family following the death of King Abdullah.

Mr. Obama, along with his wife Michelle, left New Delhi at 1.55 p.m. in his Air Force One plane.

Modi bids farewell

Prime Minister Narendra Modi bid farewell to the US President, who concluded his three-day visit to India.

“Farewell @WhiteHouse! Your visit has taken India—US ties to a new level and opened a new chapter. Wish you a safe journey,” Modi said in a tweet.

“As for the rainy day yesterday, as you yourself said @WhiteHouse today morning, Bade Bade Deshon Mein...,” Modi tweeted, followed by a smiley emoticon.

Modi was referring to a dialogue from the Hindi movie ' Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge' , quoted by Obama during his >TownHall speech at the Siri Fort auditorium on Tuesday.
