Taking on witchcraft in Kozhikode

Searches should be conducted immediately in all institutions, where attempts of witchcraft were reported earlier, the public convention demanded.

A public convention organised by the State committee of the Ithihadu Shubbanil Mujahideen (ISM) here on Friday called upon the State government to come out with an effective legislation to prevent all kinds of witchcraft.

The public convention attended by leaders of various political and social movements also sought a comprehensive inquiry into the recent incidents in which people were victimised under the evil practice.

Searches should be conducted immediately in all institutions, where attempts of witchcraft were reported earlier, the public convention demanded.

Kerala Nadvathul Mujahideen (KNM) State president T.P. Abdullakoya Madani inaugurated the public convention. He said that black magic was a threat to the attempts to reform society.
