SPIC MACAY State meet in Kozhikode

The Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode, will host a State-level convention of the Society for Promotion of Indian Classical Music And Culture Amongst Youth (SPIC MACAY), being organised by the Calicut chapter of the organisation, from February 22 to 24.

The participants will spend three days in a unique ashram-like atmosphere.

Programmes by eminent artistes such as Pandit Vishwa Mohan Bhatt (Mohan veena), Sujata Mohapatra (Odissi), Amaan Ali Khan (sarod), L. Subramaniam (violin), Margi Madhu (Koodiyattom), Kavalam Narayana Panicker (theatre), Mohana Krishnan (Ottanthullal) and Ramachandra Pulavar (shadow puppetry) will be organised as part of the State convention.

Eminent gurus and master craftsmen will also conduct workshops.
