Special Aadhaar camp for children begins today

: The two-day panchayat-level Aadhaar enrolment camps planned by Akshaya for children under six years will begin in the district on Monday.

The special camps are being conducted in around 40 select locations within the limits of various grama panchayats.

The camp, organised under the supervision of the district administration, will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Parents can produce their Aadhaar card and the birth certificate of the children to complete the enrolment procedures.

The grama panchayat halls in Ulliyeri, Perumanna, Unnikulam, Kakkodi, Puthuppadi, Chathamangalam, Peruvayal, Kuttiyadi, Thikkodi, Moodadi, Chemancheri, Chengottukavu, Ayanna, Perambra, Madavoor, Changaroth and Kunnummal will be the main venues of the camp.

Also, separate venues have been arranged in the limits of Thiruvambadi, Kottur, Panangad, Balussery, Thalakkulathur, Thamarassery, Koodaranji, Kodenchery, Kunnamangalam, Perumanna, Mavoor, Nadapuram, Azhiyoor, Keezhariyoor, Velam, Arikkulam, Nochad, Ayanchery, Narikkuni, Kayakkodi and Meppayur grama panchayats.

According to Akshaya officials, not less than 1 lakh children are expected to complete the enrolment procedures within May 31. There will be separate camps for children within the limits of various municipalities and the City Corporation, they add.
