RMP pays tribute to Chandrasekharan

The Revolutionary Marxist Party (RMP), on Sunday, paid tributes to its slain leader T.P. Chandrasekharan on his second death anniversary at Onchiyam.

A large number of RMP party workers, including women and children, gathered near the house of the slain leader to participate in the memorial meet.

Mr. Chandrasekharan was hacked to death on May 4, 2012 allegedly by a gang.

The death anniversary programme began with a floral tribute on the martyr’s column at TP’s house.

The RMP flag was also hoisted in the presence of the party members and supporters.

Revolutionary Marxist Party leader N. Venu, who addressed the memorial meet, said, “Chandrasekharan was killed for the guts he showed in fighting against some evil trends.”

Clear knowledge

Mr. Venu also alleged that the Communist Party of India (Marxist) leadership in Kerala had clear knowledge about the murder of Mr. Chandrasekharan.

After the memorial meet, the party workers took out a mammoth rally in Orkkattery.

The rural police were on high alert to avert any untoward incident in the region on the occasion.
