Mr. Nanu was a true heir of socialist legacy in the State and an encyclopaedia on the history of the socialist movement in the country, said Mr. Sreeramakrishnan.

He had the ability to analyse history minutely. But his knowledge came from his association with common people for decades rather than bookish knowledge, he added.

The Speaker hailed Mr. Nanu as a social worker whose inherent quality was simplicity. He was a leader who always stood for an elaborate socialist unity in the country, he added.
