Ayyappa Das, a motor vehicle inspector, was knocked down by a two-wheeler rider during vehicle checking at Kuttiyadi on Thursday. Kuttiyadi police have taken Vipin Raj, a native of Kuttiyadi, into custody for his alleged involvement in the incident.
