K.V. Santhosh, chief investigating officer, who probed the T.P. Chandrasekharan murder case, told the trial court that he had prepared the mahassar report by including the intelligence report that the Revolutionary Marxist Party leader had a threat to his life.
Mr. Santhosh, Deputy Superintendent of Police (Dy.SP), Crime Branch, was deposing before R. Narayana Pisharadi, judge, Special Additional District and Sessions Court (Marad Cases), for the second day here on Thursday.
Chandrasekharan was killed by a gang allegedly hired by the Communist Party of India (Marxist) at Vallikkad, near Onchiyam, Vadakara, around 10.15 p.m. on May 4, 2012.

Special Public Prosecutor C.K. Sreedharan examined the main prosecution witness.
He testified that Special Branch (intelligence wing of the State police) Dy.SP Abdul Khader had given the report (1287/SB/KK D/12) after he had requested for the same on May 19, 2012.
The mahassar report was also produced before the court.

The officer also submitted in court a copy of the look-out circular issued via the Additional Director General of Police ( Intelligence) T.P. Senkumar against T.K. Rajeesh (fourth accused and one of the assailants) and T.M. Rahul (24 accused) to all seaports and airports so as to prevent them from leaving the country.
Mr. Santhosh said that he had submitted before the inquiry court on June 6, 2012, a property list that included a blood-stained shirt and dhoti worn by Rajeesh and a washing machine that had been used for washing the clothes, which were seized from the house of Manoj Kumar aka Kirmani Manoj ( second accused), who was an assailant, at Pandakkal, Mahe.
