The Kozhikode rural police on Saturday seized a country-made gun from Abdul Nazar, 47, of Thamarassery. He was booked under the Arms Act. The arrest was made by a team of police officials led by Sub-Inspector Rakesh Kumar of Thamarassery police station. The police said that he had procured the gun for poaching purposes. However, no previous incidents involving him had been reported from Kozhikode district, they said.
