One man died after he reportedly consumed illicit liquor at Kunnamangalam, 20 km from here, on Saturday.
The police gave the name of the deceased as Balan, 64. Condition of two others is critical and they are being treated at the Government Medical College hospital, Kozhikode.
According to the police, spirit used for medical purposes was mixed in the liquor. Six people, one of them working in a private hospital, are believed to have consumed it.
