District Congress Committee (DCC) President K.C. Abu demanded that Mayor A.K. Premajam should resign accepting the moral responsibility for the recent incident in which a woman died after falling into a drain.

He said the PVS road on which the incident took place had been repaired as part of the State’s maintenance programme for Corporation roads. He demanded that the Corporation should use the Rs.40 lakh, allotted for the golden jubilee celebrations of the Corporation, for cleaning and covering drains.
