Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will inaugurate ‘Sahya’, the first multi-tenanted IT building of the Cyberpark here on May 29.
The four-storied building, built on five acres of land in the notified Special Economic Zone (SEZ) at a cost of ₹72 crore, will offer 2.88 lakh sq. ft space to potential IT companies.
The first floor of the building will function as a smart business centre with plug-and-play facility for 19 units from 12 to 42 seats. The top three floors will be leased out as warm shell spaces. On the ground floor, there will be six ready-to-occupy units ranging from 25 to 71 seats. The double basement area will be reserved for convenient parking.

“We get a lot of enquiries from companies in India and various GCC countries for space at the Cyberpark. The robust infrastructure with excellent digital connectivity, in-house power distribution, power back-up with an eco-friendly environment, come as big attractions for them,” Hrishikesh Nair, Chief Executive Officer of IT Parks, told reporters here on Saturday.
With the development of the park, start-up ventures would get an exclusive space of 6,000 sq. ft, he said. Recreational facilities for employees, cloud service, Wi-Fi connectivity, solar power generation and rain harvesting structures to meet in-house requirements are also on the cards, he added.
The Cyberpark management exuded confidence in projecting Kozhikode as the next IT destination, generating around 2,000 direct employment opportunities with active support of the State government. With the city being home to the UL Cyberpark with an IT building of 5 lakh sq. ft, it would surely build an IT-friendly environment, attracting national and multi-national companies, they said.
