The Unaided College Principals’ Council has decided to seek the intervention of the Kerala Governor to revoke the Kerala government’s decision to grant permission for union activities in schools and colleges. Varughese Mathew, secretary of the council, said in a press release here on Friday that they would meet the Governor to express their concerns. “If implemented, it will mainly affect the financially backward students. How many colleges in Kerala maintain peace and harmony where there is active politics on the campus?” he asked.
