Boy electrocuted near hydel project office

A student from Thiruvambady was electrocuted on the premises of the Urumi Hydel Power Project office on Friday. The victim was identified as Shon Johny, 11. The incident took place around 3 p.m. The police registered a case of unnatural death and are probing the incident. Alleging that the KSEB authorities had failed to ensure proper security arrangements at the spot, local residents took out a protest march to the KSEB’s office at Thiruvambady.
