Ajeesh Thaikkadavan, Scientific Assistant (Biology), Regional Forensic Science Laboratory, Kannur, has testified before the trial court the presence of blood and hair in the Toyota Innova that was allegedly used by the accused in the murder of Revolutionary Marxist Party leader T.P. Chandrasekharan.
In his deposition before R. Narayana Pisharadi, special judge of the Special Additional District and Sessions Court (Marad Cases), at Eranhipalam on Friday, the prosecution witness said that he had also found the presence of paint stains of the Toyota vehicle in the samples collected by him from the front wheel of Chandrasekharan’s motorbike.
The case related to a gang allegedly hired by a section of leaders of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) hacking to death Chandrasekharan at Onchiyam on May 4, 2012. Chandrasekharan who was riding a motorbike was initially hit by the Toyota vehicle.

Mr. Ajeesh said that he had examined the vehicle at Chokli on May 5, 2012. The samples he had collected from the vehicle and from Vallikad, the spot where Chandrasekharan was murdered, had been maintained in sealed covers.
Meanwhile, the Thiruvananthapuram Forensic Laboratory has given a report to the court stating the presence of three accused in the Toyota car. The report also mentioned the presence of blood stains and hair in the samples collected from the vehicle. The report said that blood and hair found in the vehicle were that of Shijith aka Annan, sixth accused; P.V. Rafeeq, 18th accused; and K.P. Dipin, 29th accused.
