A film fete to capture mind and its many moods

The Festival will feature movies from across the world with Mental Health as theme, held at at Nalanda Auditorium in Kozhikode from October 8 to 10

The Mental Health Action Trust (MHAT), in association with the Bankmen’s Club and the Bankmen’s Film Society, is organising a film festival on Mental Health at Nalanda Auditorium in Kozhikode from October 8 to 10, on the occasion of World Mental Health Day that falls on October 10.

The Festival will feature movies from across the world with Mental Health as theme.

Mayor A.K. Premajam will inaugurate the festival at the Open Forum to be held at 4 p.m. on October 8. The first show will be held at 10 a.m. on the same day. Three films will be screened every day, at 10 a.m., 1.30 p.m., and 5.30 p.m. respectively.

The open forum will be held from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Movies

The movies to be screened at the festival include ‘One flew over the Cuckoo’s nest’, ‘Amor’, ‘Blindness’, ‘Beautiful Memories’, ‘Women under the influence’, ‘A beautiful mind’, ‘Shine’, and ‘Rainman’.

The MHAT, based at the Institute of Palliative Medicine at Kozhikode Government Medical College, is involved in implementing community psychiatry in Malappuram, Kozhikode, and Wayanad districts.

Through 32 community clinics, it helps around 2,000 people from the lower strata of the society.
