With communicable diseases such as diphtheria, dengue and leptospirosis spreading in the district, the district panchayat is holding a meeting of the people’s representatives and officials to discuss the situation at the Collectorate Conference Hall at 10.30 a.m. on Friday. All local body heads in the district, Health Standing Committee chairpersons and department heads of various systems of medicines have been requested to take part in the meeting that would discuss measures to prevent further spread of the diseases, a press release said.
