‘Nakshathra-2017’ begins at NIT-C today

More than 150 delegates from across the country to participate

Kozhikode: The fifth edition of ‘Nakshathra-2017’, a two-day techno-management fest, will begin at the National Institute of Technology-Calicut (NIT-C) on Saturday. Shivaji Chakravorti, Director of NIT-C, will open the event, which will draw in the participation of more than 150 delegates from various institutions across the country.

According to student coordinators of the event, the fest will be an open platform for students of computer application to share their innovative ideologies and learn to work as a team to figure out solutions to major challenges in the sector. Both technical and non-technical event will be part of the show inviting the participation of eminent entrepreneurs, they said.

Sudeep Kumar, one of the coordinators, said a series of creative programmes such as ‘Enigma’, ‘Indovinello’, ‘Gramathon’, and ‘Battle Fantassia’ would be held as part of the two-day event, which is based on the theme, ‘Think System, Design System’. Online competitions too will add colour to ‘Nakshathra’, he added.

Lakshit Garg, another student coordinator, said THE talk by Anil Kumar Pugalia, a successful entrepreneur in automation, would be one of the highlights of the fest. According to him, interesting non-technical events such as ‘Indovinello’ and ‘Gramathon’ will give an opportunity to young participants to prove their knowledge and gaming skills.
