Uninterrupted power, watersupply sought for RINL

RINL CMD P. Madhusudan calls on Chief Secretary P.K. Mohanty in Hyderabad

Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited, corporate entity of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, on Wednesday asked the State government for uninterrupted supply of power and water.

RINL Chairman-cum-Managing Director P. Madhusudan called on Chief Secretary P.K. Mohanty in Hyderabad and briefed him about the plant’s performance, its growth plan and ongoing expansion/modernisation programme.

The CMD requested the Chief Secretary to ensure uninterrupted power and water supply to sustain the production in the month of March and also to consider supply of additional power and water to meet the increase in production in the next financial year.

The CMD informed Mr. Mohanty about the various measures taken by RINL towards water conservation and optimising power generation from the captive power plant.

According to an RINL release, Mr. Mohanty promised necessary support and all possible help to the company. Mr. Madhusudan later called on Special Chief Secretary (Energy) Mrutyanjay Sahu and Principal Secretary (Municipal Administration) Shailendra Kumar Joshi and discussed various issues.
