He ridicules YSR Congress leader for moving court against CBI probe

Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee president Botcha Satyanarayana has found it strange that YSR Congress party founder Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy, claiming to be the political heir of YSR, was using money, muscle power, and other means to capture the Chief Minister's post.

Mr. Jaganmohan Reddy was the main target of the PCC president in the speech he made after unveiling an 18-foot statue of former Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy on the latter's second death anniversary here on Friday.

Mr. Satyanarayana also found fault with Mr. Jagan for going to court to get the inquiry against him stalled. “If there is a blemish against anybody in the family, all will try to see that it goes away. But going to court will make the blemish permanent,” he said.

Eulogising Congress leaders like Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi for refusing the Prime Minister's post more then once, Mr Satyanarayana said he found it strange that Mr Jagan was insisting that he be made the Chief Minister. Close friend of YSR and Rajya Sabha member K.V.P.Ramachandra Rao was among the guests who graced the occasion, but preferred not to speak.

Other Ministers and speakers said Rajasekhara Reddy often spoke to them about wanting to see Rahul Gandhi as the Prime Minister after 2014 elections.

Earlier, Mr. Satyanarayana was brought in a rally from the Gannavaram Airport.

A huge gathering received him at the gate by former Minister Devineni Rajasekhar (Nehru) where he was garlanded by the former Minister's followers. The PCC chief offered prayers at the Machavaram Anjeneyaswamy temple and made a brief stop at the Andhra Ratna Bhavan before proceeding to unveil the statue.
