The Hindu Lit for Life 2018, the much-awaited event that has become synonymous with January in the city, will begin from January 14 at Lady Andal School, Harrington Road, Chetpet.
The three-day annual literary festival, which connects renowned literary personalities with book lovers, brings in a variety of programmes and many speakers this year too.
On Sunday, children of the Sunshine Orchestra, a project of the A.R. Rahman Foundation, will perform as a prelude to the inauguration of the literary festival. Following the inauguration, a series of discussions will be on at three places in the venue — Sir Mutha Concert Hall,

The festival also offers a range of workshops and interactive sessions.
The coveted The Hindu Prize 2017 will be presented on January 15 along with The Hindu Tamil Lifetime Achievement Award and The Hindu Young World - Goodbooks Awards. Books by Arundhati Roy, Prayaag Akbar, Anees Salim, Deepak Unnikrishnan and Meena Kandasamy have been shortlisted for the award.
