The second Test in Galle between Sri Lanka and Australia is expected to have a spin-friendly track as the hosts attempt to go 2-0 up and clinch the three Test series. The last time the Lankans managed a series success over the Australians was in 1999.

Pakistan captain Misbah-ul-Haq asked his fellow batsmen to convert their starts into big scores ahead of the third Test at Edgbaston.

With the series score reading 1-1, Misbah won the toss and elected to field first at Birmingham.

Indian athlete Dharambir Singh, who had earlier become the first male sprinter in 36 years to qualify for the Olympics, is believed to have tested positive for a banned substance.
