Easy to cook and refreshing in aroma, Thai cuisine, be it vegetarian or non-vegetarian, can easily win hearts. Following are some simple recipes to jazz up your weekend cooking. The recipes have been sent to us by Chef Jatsalid Sirimongkolthong of The Westin, Gurgaon.

Yam nua yang

(Grilled tenderloin served with mint and a spicy Thai dressing)

Ingredients

150 gm tenderloin fillet

30 gm spring onion

10 gm onions, sliced

3 gm mint leaves

40 gm yam sauce

10 gm cucumber, sliced

10 gm chilli flake

Method

Grill the tenderloin with seasonings. Cut the tenderloin into pieces and marinate with cucumber, tomatoes and all other remaining ingredients. Lastly, toss in with the yam sauce. Garnish with mint leaves.

Pla ram rong song

(Deep fried bean curd served with broccoli and peanut sauce)

Ingredients

100 gm silken tofu

50 gm broccoli

20 gm crushed peanut

20 gm coconut milk

10 gm sugar

15 Panenang curry paste

1 tsp salt

Method

Deep fry bean curd till crispy. Branch broccoli and set on the plate. Set tofu on top of the broccoli.Pour peanut sauce over the bean curd. Garnish with coriander leaf.
