IGNCA (Indira Gandhi Centre for the Arts), is organising a seminar tomorrow, September 8, on 'interactions between Carnatic and Hindustani music.' The venue is Kasturi Srinivasan Hall, (Main hall), The Music Academy.
Eminent musicians of both systems will participate in the day-long event, which gets under way at 10 a.m. The participants include Ajoy Chakravarty, Nayan Ghosh and Bickram Ghosh for Hindustani, and T.V. Gopalakrishnan, Dr. M. Narmada and Chitravina Ravikiran representing the Carnatic tradition.
