Emilija Kercan's love for Carnatic music took shape in 2006 — a natural extension to her decade-long interest in devotional music and Indian spiritualism. She started to train earnestly in Carnatic vocal this year and has already made several trips to Chennai from Slovenia. Her brother Vojko Kercan makes similar visits to learn the Vedas and the duo have a website >www.gopuram.org , dedicated to Vedic heritage and Indian music.
