Kiran Bedi’s constituency had highest growth in turnout; Kejriwal’s fell fastest

On Saturday, Delhi voted in its Legislative Assembly Elections for its 70-member assembly.This was Delhi’s highest ever electoral turnout.

Turnouts grew in the range of an increase of four percentage points (Krishna Nagar, the BJP’s CM candidate Kiran Bedi’s constituency) and a decrease of nearly three percentage points (the AAP’s CM candidate, Arvind Kejriwal’s constituency).

Delhi has a very high turnout, but Kolkata still leads the country in voter turnout, as it has historically.

All exit polls project an outright win for the fledgling AAP.

Exit polls project a 12-15 percent increase in the AAP’s voteshare, over 2013.

Results will be announced on February 10.
