James Vince scored 83 and Mark Stoneman made 53 as the two added 125 for the second wicket on the first day of the first Ashes Test at Brisbane.

Two wickets for Pat Cummins and a run out to dismiss Vince, however, meant that honours were even at the end of the day, as England reached 196 for four when bad light ended an attritional day of cricket.

Barca, Chelsea through to CL last 16

Barcelona secured a point with a goalless draw away at Juventus and Chelsea pumped in goals for a 4-0 thumping of Qarabag as both sides progressed to the knock-out stages of the Champions League.

Manchester United, however, were kept waiting as they lost their game against Basel 1-0.

In Paris, PSG conceded their first goal in the competition this season in the first minute of the game, before roaring back to a 7-1 victory against Celtic. Their biggest margin of victory in the tournament also took their goals tally in the group stages to 24, the most by any team in the group phase of the competition.

Atletico Madrid kept their slim hopes of qualifying alive with a 2-0 win over Roma, which included a spectacular scissor-kick by Antoine Griezmann, who scored his first goal since September 27, 2017.
