Part of the Chase series of documentaries, The Love Jihad Guru of U.P. is a profile of Vijaykant Chauhan who spends his days protecting cows and fighting against love jihad in the town of Saharanpur in Uttar Pradesh. It includes footage of Chauhan ‘rescuing’ a girl from what he views as a potential forced conversion by marriage, with his vigilante action drawing no legal repercussions. With the State in the middle of elections, the film provides an insight into a charged political issue that encompasses debates about religion, sexuality, patriarchy and xenophobia.

Sakariya is the story of Zakaria Koniyath, a native of Kozhikode district, who was 19 when he was arrested by Karnataka Police in connection with the bomb blasts that happened in Bengaluru in 2005. Koniyath has spent close to nine years in the Parappana Agrahara Jail awaiting the completion of his trial. The Malayalam-language film is set against the larger context of the persecution of innocent Muslims in terrorism cases, a part of the collateral damage of the war on terror.
