West Indies bats first against Australia in T20

September 22, 2012 07:27 pm | Updated 08:10 pm IST - COLOMBO

West Indies Captain Darren Sammy has won the toss and elected to bat first in a World Twenty20 match against Australia at R. Premadasa Stadium on Friday.

A win will ensure Australia's advance to the Super Eight stage having beaten Ireland convincingly by seven wickets in their Group B opening match earlier this week. They named an unchanged side from the team that beat Ireland.

It is the first match of the tournament for the West Indies.
