TN Govt. chips in for Chennai Open

The Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, J. Jayalalithaa, presented a cheque for Rs.1 crore to C.B.N. Reddy, honorary secretary, Tamil Nadu Tennis Association, towards the conduct of the ATP Aircel Chennai Open tennis tournament in January 2012, a press release said on Monday.

Ms. Jayalalithaa had made a similar contribution towards the tournament on behalf of the State government in 2005, the release added.

The Chennai Open will be held between January 2 and 8 at the SDAT-Tennis Stadium.
