Three-time Grand Slam winner Sania Mirza of India has decided to team up with former World No. 1 Martina Hingis of Switzerland in the US-leg of the WTA Tour circuit after parting ways with women's doubles partner Hsieh Su-wei of Chinese Taipei with whom she featured in the doubles final of the just-concluded Doha Open championship.
“My results with Hsieh have not been extraordinary in the five tournaments we played since January,” the 28-year-old Sania said in a statement on Monday.
“Hsieh is not feeling comfortable while playing on the Advantage court and feels she is struggling to make the adjustment,” Sania said.

“I tried playing on the backhand side in Doha and we did reach the final but I am unable to play my best tennis from the Ad court when we are playing against the top teams of the world,” said Sania.
“I will now be partnering Hingis who is one of the most experienced players on the circuit and is an Ad court specialist as well,” said Sania who is currently ranked World No. 5 in the women’s doubles while Hingis is World No. 7.
