Third seeds Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan and Divij Sharan made the doubles quarterfinals of the $75,000 Challenger tennis tournament here on Wednesday.
They beat Uladzimir Ignatik of Belarus and Aldin Setkic of Bosnia and Herzegovina in straight sets to set up a quarterfinal against Robin Kern and Marc Sieber of Germany.
Karman Kaur Thandi sailed into the second round of the $25,000 ITF women’s event in the US.

In another women’s tournament in Egypt, former Asian junior champion Rutuja Bhosale knocked out the second seed Bunyawi Thamchaiwat of Thailand in straight sets. She was joined by Sai Samhitha, who dismissed the third seed Tori Kinard of the US for the loss of four games.
However, another former Asian junior champion, Y. Pranjala, seeded fourth, was beaten by Watsachol Sawasdee of Thailand in a second set tie-break.
Zeel Desai and Pranjala continued with their good work in doubles and made the semifinals.
