Career-best ranking for Saketh Myneni

Saketh Myneni jumped 41 places to reach a career-best ranking of 300 in the latest list released by the ATP on Monday.

Having won back to back $15,000 ITF men’s Futures tournaments in Chandigarh and Rohtak, Myneni had collected 54 ATP points from them, but the points were getting added to his account one week after each event.

He has become the No. 2 among the Indians in the singles rankings list behind Somdev Devvarman (188).

Prakash Amritraj (315), Sanam Singh (333), Sriram Balaji (348) and Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan (402) follow him in that order.

Yuki Bhambri, who was No.2 last week, fell 138 places as 80 ATP points dropped from the Challenger title that he had won last year, and reached 411. Vishnu Vardhan (422), V.M. Ranjeet (472) and Vijayant Malik (484) follow Bhambri in the rankings list.

In doubles, Mahesh Bhupathi (6), Rohan Bopanna (11) and Leander Paes (15) maintained their status at the top, while Divij Sharan (100) and Purav Raja (119) were the next best among the Indians following their good run in the Challenger circuit.
