Bopanna-Fleming duo enters final

Rohan Bopanna entered the first final of the season along with Briton Colin Fleming after edging past Julian Knowle and Filip Polasek 7-5, 6-1 in the ATP Marseille Open on Saturday.

The second seeded Indo-British pair converted all three breakpoints to beat third seed Austrian-Slovakian team in the doubles semifinals.

Bopanna and Fleming saved three breakpoints they faced and that proved crucial in the outcome of the match.

Meanwhile, top-seeded Czech Tomas Berdych defeated Dmitry Tursunov 6-2, 6-1 in the singles semifinals.

Australia's Bernard Tomic squandered five match points as he lost 4-6, 6-3, 7-6(10) to French third seed Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in the quarterfinals.

Simon beat second-seeded Argentine Juan Martin del Potro6-4, 6-3 in his quarterfinal.

Nishikori upsets Cilic

Fifth-seeded Kei Nishikori of Japan cruised past top-seeded Marin Cilic 6-4, 6-2 on Friday to enter the semifinals of the ATP/WTA U.S. indoor championships at Memphis. He next faces Australian Marinko Matosevic, a 6-7(6), 6-2, 6-4 winner over seventh-seeded Alexandr Dolgopolov of Ukraine.
