Bhambri makes it to main draw

Yuki Bhambri beat wild card Elias Ymer of Sweden 7-5, 6-2 to enter the main draw of the $7,972,535 ATP Masters tennis tournament. In the main draw, Yuki will play lucky-loser Mirza Basic of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

In the €43,000 Challenger in Lille, fourth seeds Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan and Purav Raja pulled off a thrilling 4-6, 6-1, [11-9] victory over Sander Arends of the Netherlands and Tristan-Samuel Weisssborn of Austria in the doubles pre-quarterfinals.

In Manama, Kanika Vaidya beat compatriot Sowjanya Bavisetti in three sets 6-0, 4-6, 6-2 to make the quarterfinals. She was in the doubles quarterfinals too, along with Zeel Desai, after a bye in the first round.
