It was smooth sailing for top seed Simran Kaur Sethi of Delhi as she beat Tamil Nadu’s R. Sai Avanthika 6-4, 6-3 in the girls’ second round of the adidas-MCC National junior under-18 tennis championship, here on Tuesday.
There were also straight set wins for players seeded two to four, Vanshika Sawhney, Devanshi Bhimjiyani and Zeel Desai. In the boys’ section top seed B.R. Nikshep of Karnataka recorded an easy 6-3, 6-0 victory over Paras Dahiya of Haryana.
