Pune race track work

Track work noted at Pune on Monday (October 27).

Gate practice noted on the sand:

1000m: 2/y/o Continental (Trevor), Ramesses (app) and 2/y/o Warpath (Akshay) 1-11.5, 800/54.5, 600/40.5. They moved freely. A 3/y/o bay filly (Royal Gladiator/Eclaire Blanche) (Merchant) 1-10, 800/55, 600/42. Moved freely. 2/y/os Vitesse (app), Night Of Stars (app) and Ascendency (app) 1-9, 800/53, 600/41. They jumped out well and finished level. 2/y/os A bay colt (Alnasr Alwasheek/Queen’s Bay) (app), Stand And Dance (app) and A bay gelding (Archipenko/Sudestada) (app) 1-10.5, 800/55, 600/41. They were easy.

Mock race noted on race track: 

1800m: Authority (Kharadi), Naval Glory (Akshay) 2-7, 1600/1-50, 600/39.5. Authority covered four lengths and won by short head. Second mock race.

Race track:

1400m: Westphalia (Neeraj), Godspeed (Pasha), Ashrafie (K.Kadam), King Glorieux (Yash Narredu), Jeremiah (Akshay) and Smokie (Bhawani) 1-27.5, 600/35.5. Won by: 2, Dist, 5. Westphalia won the race impressively.

Third mock race: Race track:

1200m: Zabisco (D.K.Ashish), Don Corleone (S.J.Sunil), Zana (Parmar) and Marcos (Mosin) 1-15, 600/35.5. Won by: Nk, 1, Dist. Zabisco came from third position to beat Don Corleone at wire. Fourth Mock race for apprentice jockeys.

1000m: Wild Waves (app), Halelujah (app), Annabeth (app), Pitbull (app), Flying Expectation (app), Leontine (app) and Surprise (app) 1-15, 600/36. Won by: 1/2, Dist, 4. Wild Waves who was racing fifth till bend covered good ground on the outside and won the race by half a length.

Fifth mock race for apprentice jockeys:

1000m: Zoltan (app), Isadoro (app), Classy Dancer (app), Rajputana Rifles (app), Star Studded (app), Noble Express (app), Magnolia (app), Martina (app), Red Fort (app) and Waves Of Magic (app) 59, 600/36. Won by: 2, Dist, Dist. Zoltan was the pick.

Noted on October 26:Sand track:

800m: Sound Of River (rb), Zabarwan (app) 53, 600/39. They moved level freely. Ravello (Sandeep Jadhav), Savannah Sound (Pradeep) 49, 600/36.5. Former was well in hand and finished half a length ahead.

Noted on the race track:

1200m: Ancient Treasure (Merchant), Fribourg (Yash Narredu), Stormy Princess (K.N.Bhati), Habibians (Sameer), Star Benevolent (Agarwal), Impressive Dude (K.Kadam) and Uncheshrawa (P.S.Chouhan) 1-14.5, 600/38. Won by: 3/4, 1/2, 3. Ancient Treasure won the race pillar to post. Impressive Dude was slowly off by a distance and finished far behind. Uncheshrawa planted in the stalls.
