Former started two lengths behind and finished four lengths ahead.

1600m: Mr Handsome (Khurshad), Armenia (A. Velu), Super Smart (rb) 1-54, 1,400/1-40, 1,200/1-25.5, 1,000/1-12, 600/45. First named put up a fine display, second named joint at 1,400m and finished three lengths behind while the last named dropped at 1,400m.
